Caring for You
Pastoral Care
A healthy Christian community is one in which people know that they are loved, visitors are welcome and young and old alike are valued and feel safe. The care that we offer, both at times of crisis and in everyday life is an active proclamation of God’s love in Christ and for all the world. To love God and to love our neighbours is a calling that we all share. Putting this into practice is a challenge and a privilege and will involve giving our time, energy and emotions as we enter into the adventure of caring for each other. Christian caring is a response to our understanding of the nature of God who created us and cares for us. We believe that the welcome people receive when they enter our church buildings, the atmosphere in our worship and the practical caring of our many activities speak volumes about our Christian faith. The ethos of care that can be found in our churches and that flows out into our communities can be a means of mission and a reflection of the self-giving love of God. If you are a regular worshiper in any of our Churches you will be supported by one of our pastoral care team. They will be available to meet with you, pray with you or just make an occasional phone call. Please have a word with the minister if you would like to be in one of our pastoral groups.
